Aleatha J. Goffin, 89, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading poems, long car rides and traveling by train. She especially loved taking care of stray cats. She was a member of Benton Seventh-day Adventist Church where she played piano.

Aleatha was born on March 13, 1931 to the late Emery and Anna Morris in Hinsdale, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Goffin.

Survivors include two nieces and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Layspeaker, James Johnson officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
