IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angela D.
Higdon Dalton
February 25, 1976 – January 9, 2026
Angela Dawn Higdon Dalton, born February 25, 1976, in Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on January 9, 2026.
Angela was truly a mother to all. Not only to her own children, but to countless others who lovingly knew her as "Momma Ang." Her home and heart were always open, and her love was loud, deep, and unconditional.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ricky Dalton; her children Cody Epperson, Katie Epperson, Courtney Epperson, Gracie Epperson, Alyssa Dalton, Tylan Dalton, Cameron Dalton, and Miley Dalton; and her cherished grandchildren Grayson, Annahi, Tilley, Neyland, Penelope, August, and Ezra. She is also survived by her parents Sherry and Herman Woody and Marla Higdon; her sisters Candice Holcomb and Tanda Higdon; her best friend Nicole Quinn-Looper; her living grandparents Idella Dalton and Wilma Wells; her beloved grand dog, Gale; and her treasured dog Bonnie Sassy, whom she loved deeply and considered family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Higdon, and her brother, Joe "Bub" Wright.
Angela was a proud mountain girl who carried her love for nature throughout her life. She found peace in the outdoors, cherished the beauty of the mountains she grew up in, and had a deep love for the beach. She was a faithful woman who loved God wholeheartedly and lived her life with compassion, strength, and purpose.
A lifelong fighter, Angela was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 10 and became a passionate advocate for others living with the disease, offering guidance, understanding, and hope whenever she could.
She was a dedicated football fan, proudly cheering for the South Carolina Gamecocks, and brought warmth, laughter, and loyalty wherever she went.
Angela was clearly and deeply loved by many. Her kindness, fierce protection of her children, and the way she made everyone feel like family will never be forgotten. The legacy she leaves behind is one of unconditional love, resilience, and a heart big enough for the whole world.
She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
