Arden “Al” Stough, 84, of Benton, passed away on June 30, 2026.

He was born on August 13, 1941, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Clyde and Ruby Fuller Stough.

Throughout life, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. A few of his fondest memories were his time spent with the U.S. Navy and later volunteered with the Tennessee Defense Force. He retired from Maytag and worked for several years with the City of Benton. He was also a member of Geodetic Surveying, a lifetime member of the NRA, and American Legion.

Left to cherish the many memories include his brother, Sidney (Julie) Stough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton with Military Honors.

His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
