Arlene Simonds, 69, of Benton, TN passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her residence. She was adventurous and loved to travel. She was a very giving and loving person, adored her animals, but most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Dillard Self; sisters, Shelly Morrow, Jeanie Coker, Marsha Self; brothers, Jackie Self and John Self.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Simonds; daughters, Melissa Brandenburg of Cleveland, TN, Patricia Reeder (Timothy) of Mesa Arizona, Tammy Eller (Christopher) of Wolfcreek, NC; son, Eric Simonds (Katie ORourke) of Benton, TN; grandchildren, David Simonds, Drew Brandenburg, Mandy Reeder, Lacy Reeder, Hallie Eller, Katlynn Eller, Storm Eller; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Cross (Rex) and Anna Mae Millican; brothers, Herman Self and Charles Self. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Copperhill, TN.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home, Benton, TN.
