Arzie Agnes Townsend Casson, 71, of Ocoee, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. She had over 30 years of service at Shaw Industries. She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Marie Kincaid Townsend; sister, Theresa Hughes; and infant son, Tommy. She is survived by her children: Mary Farmer, Tim Casson, Emma Casson and Amanda Kendrick, all of Ocoee and Juanita and husband, Harold Ledford of Old Fort; brothers: Grady Townsend of Dalton, GA, and Joe Townsend of Ocoee; sister: Darlene Fraire of Crandall, GA; grandchildren: Amy and Chris James of Chatsworth, GA, Rodney and April Hewitt of Cleveland, Daniel Wilcox, Zeke Casson, and Zalacye Wilson of Ocoee, Jennifer Myers of Clarksville, TN, and Michelle Ledford of Old Fort; great-grandchildren: Waylyn and Walker James and Joseph Bates; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Bragg officiating. Interment will follow at Conasauga Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at the funeral home.
