Barbara Jean Headrick Woody, 79, departed this world December 2, 2015 and was welcomed by her Heavenly Father into her eternal home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Shady Springs Baptist Church. She loved gardening, especially her flowers and she definitely had a green thumb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Woody on February 2, 2015; her parents Jack Vestal and Stella Ratcliff Headrick; brothers, Leon, J. T. and Morgan Headrick; sister, Patsy Headrick.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Butch) Moorhouse, Kathy (Todd) Belcher all of Benton; sons, Terry of Delano, TN, and Ricky (Rita) of Old Fort, TN; sister, Polly (Willard) Lanier; brothers, Mike Headrick of Crandall, GA and Jackie Headrick of Ocoee, TN; grandchildren, Stan (Kim) Moorhouse, Bo (Jamie) Moorhouse, Justin (Alix) Belcher, Ashley (Travis) Askew, Misty Osbourne, Tyvis (Mandy) Woody, Enchanti Woody, Briztana Woody and Cambaria Woody; twelve great grandchildren, Brice, Abigail, Jake, Chloe, Raegan, Darcy, Torin, Gracie, Jase, Tregan, Charydin and Navera; several nieces and nephews also survive and her special pet, Murphy.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Benton Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ricky Woody officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
