Bess Hester Park, 85, of Ooltewah, TN passed away Friday, November 4, 2016. She was born in Polk County, living in Bradley County and Tampa, Florida and most recently in Hamilton County. She was a retired accountant, loved being with her family and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren H. and Anna Bennett Hester; siblings, Juanita Sheldon, Henry, Ralph and Richard Hester.

She is survived by her children; David (Connie) Park, Deborah (Lynn) Payne, Joe (Shari) Park, Jane (Jeff) Abbott; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Stone; sister-in-law, Vena Hester. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
