Bonnie Inez Merrell Wilcox, 82, of the Greasy Creek community, passed away, Monday, February 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 1, 1931 to the late Arthur and Mae (Rymer) Merrell. She was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Russell Wilcox; two infant brothers and brother-in-law Wayne Wilcox. She is survived by her son, Clifford Ray Wilcox and wife, Jeanne; grandchildren, Christopher S. Wilcox and Stacy R. Wilcox, all of Cleveland; brother, Fred Merrell and wife, Una; sisters, Beatrice Wilcox and Minnie Lowe and husband, J.M, all of Reliance; several nieces and nephews and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Greasy Creek Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
