Carson W. Bain, 78, of Reliance, departed this life peacefully on September 10, 2025, at a local healthcare facility.  He was a faithful and devout Christian, having been a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

He was born on August 20, 1947, in Springtown, Tenn., to the late Richard and Ora Blackwell Bain.  Throughout life, Carson enjoyed the simple things that life blessed him with, such as his family, community, and church family.  He was an avid fisherman and cherished the time of being with family. A devout Christian, Mr. Bain loved the Lord, praised His name, and spread the Word each opportunity that presented itself.

In addition to his parents, Richard and Ora Bain, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 48 years, Minnie Green Bain siblings, Jack Bain, Bill Bain, Charlie Bain, Dorothy Lowe, Willie Mae Freeman, and Mary Ruth Rymer.

Left to cherish the many memories include his one son, Steve (Brenda) Bain; grandchildren, Steven Bain, and Ashley Bain; siblings, Evelyn (Kent) Sharpton, Joe (Faye) Bain, and Paulette (Jerry) Lewis. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a community of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church, with Pastor Chad Maxwell, Rev. Bobby Green, and Rev. Lee Ingram officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, with Sandy Wild, Junior Bain, Floyd Taylor, Alex Taylor, Eric Frank, Josh Frank, Jamie Ingram, and Jerry Taylor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Dalton Jr., Robert Frank, and David Sosebee.

His family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the church.
