Charles H. "Chuck" Eaves, 64, of Benton passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 24, 1944 to the late Russell William and Julia Eaves. He was a life long sportsman and loved the outdoors. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also preceded in death by one son, Zebulon Lawrence Eaves. He is survived by his wife, Connie Eaves; children, Leslie Mason and husband, Justin, Robin Eaves, Charles Russell Eaves, John Cody Eaves and fiance, Tiffany Martin and Carter Tate Eaves; grandchildren, Lauren Mason, Spencer Mason, Olivia Mason and Colter Gage Eaves; and special grandson, Dakota Cooper. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend David Evans and Reverend John Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery with Mike Hickman, Bob McErath, John Cody Eaves, Louis Massey, Jerry Champion and James Prichard serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
