Charles Edward "Chuck" McDonald, 52, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on March 30, 2024.

He was born on June 19, 1971, to Mary Taylor McDonald and the late Willis Edward "Hoop" McDonald.

Throughout life, Chuck was loved by all who had the blessing of knowing him, and never met a stranger. He had a passion for playing guitars and singing music, fishing, working with and shooting guns, and "making laps." He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Willis "Hoop" McDonald, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Traynor and Stella McDonald, and Tom and Carrie Taylor; and one uncle, T.J. McDonald.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving mother, Mary Taylor McDonald; beloved son, Chaz McDonald; brother, Tommy (Julie) McDonald; one niece, Katey McDonald; one nephew, Lige McDonald; and a host of friends.

Family and friends will gather from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.

A private graveside service will be held at Old Ocoee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
