Charlsie Mae Hall Wilcoxon

Charlsie Mae Hall Wilcoxon, 87, a resident of Delano, passed away May 9, 2007 in an Etowah hospital. She was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilcoxon was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wilcoxon and her parents, Hayden Hall and Melissa Patterson Hall; sons: Charles Hayden Wilcoxon and Junior Wilcoxon; daughter, Flora Bell Wilcoxon; sisters, Ruby Swafford, Eva Bradley, Dorothy Hall and Artie Hollingsworth; and brother, Luther Hall.

She is survived by her children and spouses: Columbus and Euna Faye Wilcoxon, Jessie and Johnny Russell, Virginia Wilcoxon, James Wilcoxon, Lynn Wilcoxon and Mary and Alfred Ferry all of Delano; W.G. and Blanca Wilcoxon of FL; stepchildren: Leora and Carl Price of Reliance and Irene and Winston Shelton of Delano; sister, Gladys Swafford; brother, Raymond Hall; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Guffey officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greasy Creek Cemetery in Reliance. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
