Christine Marie Burger, 76, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on March 1, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 16, 1945, in Cleveland, TN. to the late Harrie E. and Essie Payne Triplett.

Throughout life, she never met a stranger and would help anyone that was in need. A lover of life, Ms. Christine cherished the many moments spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A believer in Christ and of the Baptist faith, she was employed with Hardwick Clothes and later Burlington Industries prior to retiring as a C.N.A. with Bradley Healthcare & Rehab Center. She was dearly loved by each person who was blessed to have known her and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Harrie E. and Essie Payne Triplett, she was preceded by her beloved husband, Robert C. Burger; brother, Charles Edward Triplett; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Harley Payne; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Triplett.

Left to cherish the many memories include her loving daughter, Lisa (Tim) Watson; cherished grandchildren, Haley (Zachary) Lillard, Michael (Susan) Murray and Tyler (Jill) Watson; great grandchildren, Hayden Lillard, Ethan Murray, Raygan Watson, and Ryann Watson; sister, Peggy (Verlon) Gladden. Numerous extended family members and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Reverend Robby Hatcher officiating.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
