Clyde Lee Brown, 84, of Benton, gently passed away at his home. He was a well-respected dairy farmer who loved the land and his cows. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Benton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth Delashmitt Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Stephens Brown. He is, also, survived by two sisters: Mary Lon Hodge of Rutherford, NC and Betty Ann Johnson of Aynor, SC and a large extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Don Whitehead officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Benton Cemetery with a white dove ceremony concluding the service. Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. prior to the service at 8:00 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
