Dana Lee Bishop Fitch, 52, departed this life unexpectedly on September 18, 2022 at Memorial Hospital Chattanooga in the presence of her beloved husband.

Dana was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on January 30, 1970 to Frances Bishop and the late Billy A. Bishop.

Dana enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family, cooking, and keeping in touch with her friends from past times. Dana had a passion of caring for children. She worked for many years as a Child Abuse Investigator for the Tennessee Department of Childrens Services and in the nursery at Burks United Methodist Church. Dana loved to help others, but the most important thing was being a Momma to her beloved son, Bryson. Dana accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age. She read the Bible faithfully and prioritized raising Bryson to know God and always do the right thing. Dana attended Ooltewah United Methodist Church and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her father, Billy Bishop, she was preceded by her grandparents, Lee and Willie Mae Bishop, and Dock and Peggy Morgan.

Left to cherish the many memories include her loving husband of 12 years, Eric H. Fitch; adored son, Bryson H. Fitch; mother, Frances Morgan Bishop; brothers, Wade Bishop, Russell (Kelly) Bishop, Dennis (Tracy) Bishop; nephews, Samuel (Lily) Bishop, and Matthew (Ashlyn) Bishop; niece, Rebekah Bishop; great-niece, Kennedy Bishop; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Patricia Fitch; brothers-in-law, Bradley (Kaila) Fitch, and Robert (Sally) Fitch; and her 4-legged fur baby, Farley. A host of family and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Rev. Dwight Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with Samuel Bishop, Matthew Bishop, Rebekah Bishop, Bradley Fitch, Mark Bishop, and Joe Pankey serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
