Darrell Long, 48, of Benton, passed away on July 14, 2026, at a Knoxville hospital.

He was born on May 19, 1978, in Athens, Tennessee, to the late Glenn and Judy Cain Long.

Throughout life, he loved working, hunting, and fishing every chance he had. He lovingly adored his family, especially spending time with his children and grandson. He attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Benton and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A few of his fondest memories included the multiple vacations with his family.

In addition to his parents, Glenn and Judy Long, he is preceded in death by one brother, David Long.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving wife of 19 years, Catrina Long; one daughter, Rachel (Evan) Farmer; one son, William Long; one grandson, Oliver Farmer; aunts and uncles, Loretta (James) Elrod, Charles (Jo) Long, Mark Long, and John (Tammy) Cain. Several extended family members who he loved very much also survive.

A gathering of friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Cohulla Baptist Church, 277 Strawhill Church Road, Cleveland, TN 37323.
