David Rogers, 76, of Benton, passed away, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of Baptist faith and attended Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Rogers; parents, Calvin Oliver Rogers and Essie Shields Rogers. He is survived by his children, Calvin Rogers and wife Dianne and Wesley Rogers, all of Benton; grandchildren, Destiny Rogers of Benton, Jeremiah Rogers of Salem, MA and Alexander Rogers of Benton; special niece, Paige Price. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 12, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend David Peters officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 13, 2013 in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
