Dean Crook, age 58, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at a Georgia healthcare facility. He was of the Baptist faith, a graduate of Polk County High School and served in the Navy. He loved old cars and hot rods. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denver Dean Crook, Sr. and Venita Wooten Blevins; grandparents, Clyde and Gertie Crook and William Luther and Myrtle Wooten. Survivors include his son, Denver Dean (Veronica) Crook, III of Brunswick, OH, and daughter Shannon (Chris) Turner of Senoia, GA; brothers, Dwight Crook of Benton, TN and Michael Bain of Delano, TN; sister, Cheryl Dawn (Allan) Case of Kimball, TN; grandchildren, Raven, Legacy, Isis Crook and Logan and Dalton Turner. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
