Debbie Sue Trentham Pankey, 81, a resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death her husband, James W. Pankey; parents, Ed Tretham and Della Woody; sister, Mildred Nelms; and brother, Marcus "Deano" Trentham. Survivors include her children, Larry (Debbie) Pankey, Jerry (Cindy) Pankey, and Joe (Rhonda) Pankey, Joan (David) Hughes all of Benton and Judy (Bill) Rogers of Cleveland;sisters, Ruby, Kay, Pat, Caroline and Donna; brothers, Dewey, Jay, Eddie, Billy, Dennis and Greg Trentham; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton with the Reverend David Hicks and the Reverend Ed Trentham officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Mitch, Jason, Matt and Clay Pankey, Tyler Hicks, Adam Hughes and Charlie Bradford serving as pallbearers.
