Diana Mantooth Mary Diana Mantooth, 70, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Mantooth was the daughter of the late Burk Shelton and Essie Mae Qualls Shelton; and was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vell Mantooth of Old Fort; children: Lisa and Curtis Biggs of Old Fort, Sonya and Mike Cross of Athens, Shannon and Jeremy Dill of Old Fort and Amy Mantooth of Old Fort; grandchildren: Nathan Biggs, Cory Biggs and fiance, Brooke Hamby, Reilly Biggs all of Old Fort, Michael Cross of California, Mehgan and Jonathan Fiorella of Knoxville, Allie Dill, Aly Dill and Anna Dill all of Old Fort; great-grandchildren, Jace Biggs of Old Fort and Mason Guess of Knoxville; also left her loving dogs, Dottie, Toby and Gizmo. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend David Disney officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Dill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Nathan Biggs, Cory Biggs, Jeremy Dill, Curtis Biggs, Jonathan Fiorella and Michael Cross The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
