Doris Lowe, 85, of Benton, TN and life-long resident of Polk County passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She enjoyed spending time with her grand-children and great grand-children. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Elsie Holland Swann. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dyeo Lowe; son, Patrick Lowe; sisters, Clarene Moats, Ellen Swann, Pauline Skelton, Bobbie Grisham; brother, Donald Swann. She is survived by her children, Clifford Lowe, Kay (Roy) Perian, Joyce Scroggs; grandchildren, Tonya Cartwright, Teresa Ware, Melanie Russell, Matthew Scroggs, Frankie Lowe, Renee Bowan, Brande Benson, Steve Lowe, Angie Lowe, Melissa Lowe; several great grand-children; sisters, Lois Prince, Beatrice Hicks, Becky Bain, Josephine Hicks, Cleo Swann, Sue McFarland; brother, James T. Swann. Also surviving is a special ex-daughter-in-law, Barbara Capizzi and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Archville Baptist Church with Reverend Daniel White officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home, Benton, TN.
