Dorothy M. Stephens Brown, 88, a resident of Benton,TNpassed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at a local healthcare facility. She retired in 1993 from American Uniform in Cleveland after 39 years of service. She was a member of Clear View Baptist in Benton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clyde Lee Brown; parents, Clyde and Marchie Tallent Stephens; siblings, C. F. Stephens, Jr., Donald Ray Stephens, Willie Lee Moats, Elizabeth Ann Carr, Helen Davis, Margaret Sue Stone.

She is survived by a special sister and caregiver and her children, Charlotte Hall, Carol and Randy Yates and Rodney and Carrie Burris; siblings, Alberta Williams of Delano, J.C. and Carolyn Stephens, Jerry and Frances Stephens, of Benton; her "Boy" Owen Minardo; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Hodge of Rutherfordton, NC and Bettye Ann Johnson of Aynor, SC; special friend, Frances Gosselin; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Chad Denton officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home prior to the service.
