Doug Dillingham, 59, of Benton, TN passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born in McMinn County but lived the majority of his life in Polk County. He was a 1974 graduate of Polk County High School and had been employed for 20 years at Crystal Geyser Roxane Water Co. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Naomi Postelle Dillingham Shell.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Jones Dillingham; daughter, Christy Dillingham of Cleveland, TN; granddaughter, Chasity Cross; sister, Stacy (Jerry) Akin of Ocoee, TN; brothers, Shane ( Juanita) Shell and Mitch Dillingham all of Reliance, TN. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Terry Daniels officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Archville Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.
