Douglas Ray Shelton, 59, son of Winston and Irene Shelton of Delano, TN passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens, TN. He loved to spend time with his Dad working on lawn mowers

He is survived by his parents; brother, Woodley "Button" Shelton; nephews, Keith and Paul; niece, Jennifer; two great nieces and one great nephew. A host of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Johnny Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Delano Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers; Steve Hawkins, Johnny Russell, Charles Ferry, Zeb Shelton, Nathan Swafford and Jeffery Sneed.
