Eddy "Gopher" Blankenship, 64, a resident of Old Fort, TN passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his daughters residence in Dalton, GA. Eddy loved to WORK. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlon and Regina Dunn Blankenship; brothers, Vernon Blankenship and Billy Blankenship.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Hilley (Blake); son, Eddy Michael Blankenship; grandchildren, Kyra, Trinity and Brodey Hilley. Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Parm officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Dill Cemetery, Old Fort, TN.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the service.
