Edna Blankenship, 71, of Benton, TN passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her residence. She loved to work crossword puzzles, was an avid gardener but her grandchildren were her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. & Dorothy Mae Burns Day; sister, Frances Calhoun,

She is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Harry Mullinax) Arthur, Tonya (Gregg) Goins; grandchildren, Mason Tolzmann, Tyler Tolzmann, Ashley Worsham, Michael Worsham; sisters, Betty (Arley) Keith, Barbara (Ralph) Mason, Lorene (Greg) Swyers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Steve Ross officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.
