Edward Lee Presswood

Edward Lee Presswood, age 73, a lifelong resident of Polk County, passed away March 25, 2007 at a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Presswood was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Presswood and Lennie Stafford Presswood; brothers: Jack Presswood and Eugene Presswood.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Tim Green of Benton; grandson, Jonathan Pike; step daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Randy Davis of Delano; step grandson, Cody Green; step granddaughter, Amber Green; sisters and brothers-in-law: Faye and Charlie Poindexter of Gainesville, FL and Norma and Spence Norwood of Lithia Springs, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law: Terry and Tammy Presswood of OH, Walter and Shelia Presswood of Cleveland and Dwight Presswood of GA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Old Columbus Town Cemetery in Delano.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the funeral home.
