Eleanor (Kay) Couch Rumpel, 68, passed away, Wednesday July 29, 2009 at her residence, after a long fight with Lung cancer. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Celia Clayton Couch; brother, Clyde Couch; stepson Alan Rumpel; grandson, Henry Allen Rumpel Jr. and brother in-law Don Rumpel. She is survived by her husband, Henry Rumpel; daughter Amanda Rumpel; stepson Stephen Rumpel Sr.; sisters: Alice Thompson, Janice Keith, and Alene Johnson and brothers: Kenneth Couch and Leon Couch and wife Dorothy, and sister in-law Elaine Couch. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Saturday August 1, 2009 prior to the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend W.L. Shipman officiating, interment will follow in the Old Ocoee Cemetery concluding with a white dove release. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Higgins Funeral Home P.O.
