Elizabeth Ann Boyd Witt, age 74, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Benton Garden Club and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Republican Party in Polk County and assisted in the local elections. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Benett and Essie Mildred Guinn Boyd; brothers: Henry Boyd, J.T. Boyd and Daniel Boyd; one sister, Helen Boyd.

She is survived by her children: Mike Witt of Knoxville and Debbie Witt Brannon of Benton; three grandchildren: Tyler Brannon and Tanner Brannon both of Benton and Charles Michael Witt, II of Cleveland; one great-grandchild, Keriston Mary Lee Witt of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Hatcher officiating. A private graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, March 25, 2006.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
