Elsie O. Dixson

Elsie O. Dixson, age 94, a life long resident of Polk County, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Ms. Dixson was retired from Service Cleaners in Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Evrin Dixson, Sr. and Adrie Ash Dixson; brothers: Arthur Dixson and Chass B. Dixson.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Goins of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Ruby Dixson of Ocoee and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smyrna Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Parm officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Stan Allen, Jimmy Smith, Darvin Dixson, Leon Dixson, Tony Dixson and Eddie Goins serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church, prior to the service.
