Evelyn Onita M. Cronan, 85, a former resident of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her home in St. George, South Carolina. She was active in the Polk County Historical Society and a member of UDC of Polk County.

She was the widow of Rex Cronan; preceded in death by her parents, Joe B. and Dona Sewell Moore; siblings, Jo Rene Harris of Cleveland, TN and Wayne C. Moore of Rossville, GA.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Buster) Mann, Hickory, NC; son, Christopher (Sherri) Webb of Cleveland, TN; granddaughters, Ashley (Nick) Grabe, Allison Webb, Madeline Webb; great grandson, Rex Grabe all of Cleveland, TN; sister, Stella Mizzell and her special niece and care giver, Robin Mizzell both of St. George, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home prior to the service.
