Frances Day Calhoun, age 58, a life long resident of Polk County, passed away Friday, April 14, 2006 at the family residence. She was a member of Benton Station Baptist Church and had retired from M&M Mars. Mrs. Calhoun was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Day.

She is survived by her husband, Jr Calhoun of Polk County; children and spouses: Teresa Ross and Calvin Hammons, Steve and Connie Ross, Matthew and Mary Calhoun and Stacy Calhoun all of Polk County; grandchildren: Jonathan Hammons, Cru Ross, Matthew Calhoun Jr., Justin Calhoun, Chandler Calhoun, Amanda Smith and Dillon Tragesser; sisters and spouses: Betty and Arlie Keith, Barbara and Ralph Mason, Lorene and Gregg Swyers, and Edna Blankenship.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. A sunrise service will be conducted 7:00 a.m. Sunday in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
