Frances Carolyn Stephens, 81, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on December 25, 2023.
She was born on August 31, 1942, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to the late Noah and Edna Clayton Green.
Throughout life, Frances loved the Lord and her family. The high point in her life was getting to witness to anyone that she encountered. Her greatest wish was that everyone would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Frances had a giving heart and always helped those in need. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Noah, and Edna Clayton Green, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry T. Stephens; brothers, Paul Green, and Kenneth Green.
Left to cherish the many memories include her loving children, Dan (Gail) Harrison and Denise (Kenny) Park; grandchildren, Mallorie (Wayne) Gibson, Luke Harrison, Allison (Scott) Rummel, and Hunter (Taylor) Longley; great-grandchildren, Emmary Gibson, Gatlin Gibson, Micah, Rayce, and Rawlings; sister, Margaret (Ken) Burgess. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Ocoee Church of God with Pastor Mike Whitmire officiating.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Benton Memorial Gardens, with Hunter Longley, Luke Harrison, Wayne Gibson, Scott Rummel, Justin Stephens, Josh Melton, Jonathan Dillard, and Nathan Hudgins serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at Ocoee Church of God Capital Campaign, 813 US 64, Ocoee, TN 37361.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation of gratitude for the love and care provided by her caregiver, Teresa Silvers.
