Franklin D. Ledford, 68, of Ocoee, TN passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his residence. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a former TN State Trooper and truck driver. He enjoyed going to school, and in his 50s he continued his education and earned his BS in accounting from Lee University

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Betty Lawson Ledford; daughter, Renee Loftis; sister, Brenda Sue Ledford; brother, Leon Ledford.

He is survived by his daughters, Cherie (Frankie) Aaron and Shelley (Michael) Floyd both of Benton; grandson, Tracy Loftis; sister, Tina (Charles) Watkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Homer Roberts and Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
