Gary D. Stone, 67, a resident of Benton, departed this life peacefully on October 23, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 3, 1958, in Athens, TN., to the late Olice and Rosene Stone.

Throughout life, Gary D. enjoyed the simple things of life.  His faith, family, and friends were always important to Gary D., and he never missed an opportunity to share his love with them. He made his living working on various neighborhood farms and being a self-employed truck driver, known to many as "Big Gary". In his later years, his grandchildren became his prized possessions, and he loved them dearly.

In addition to his parents, Olice and Rosene Stone, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Weaver; one nephew, Chris Weaver.

Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife of 44 years, Patsy Stone; two children, Corey Stone, and Marcie (James) Parker; five grandchildren, Adalee Stone, Annalee Stone, Amos Stone, Asa Stone, and Braxton Parker; one brother, Olice "Junior" (Cathy) Stone; one sister, Donna (Mike) Ratcliff; brother-in-law, Marvin Weaver; and several nieces and nephews; and his special companion, Izzy.

There will be no services at this time.
