Geneva Mullinax, 76, of Benton, passed away Thursday morning, June 4, 2015 at her residence. She was kind hearted and always helping others. She had a strong belief in God and was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Randall Lee Mullinax of Cleveland, TN; parents, Roy and Onie Cross Lawson of Benton, TN. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Herron and her husband Nicholas Herron; grandson, Timothy Lee Herron all of Benton, TN. She is also survived by special sister-in-law, Faye Chadwick and her husband Monte of Cleveland, TN; special friends, Janet Teague, Margaret and Fo Richardson, Katherine Rogers all of Cleveland, TN and Mary Ann Blackwell and Peggy Cross of Benton, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Nick Herron and Reverend Casey Stanfield officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be James Powell, Charles Herron, Samuel Burger, Casey Stanfield, Jason Brown and Clay Richardson. Timothy Herron will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
