Grace Goins Smith, 99, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at a local healthcare facility.

She was born on May 10, 1920 to the late Edgar Stanley and Ada Lee Droke Goins in Cleveland, TN. Grace was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lark Smith; siblings, Jessie L. Goins, Geneva "Bill" Goins, E. Stanley Goins, Anna Belle Goins and G.B. "Chubb" Goins.

Survivors include her grandson, Anthony L. "Andy" McDonald, Sr. and wife Lynnette; great-grandchildren, Anthony L. "Tony" McDonald, Jr. and wife Jackie, Heather Faye McDonald; four step grand-children, 8 great-great grandchildren and 8 step great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. John Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Station Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 prior to the service at the funeral home.
