Hunter McTaggart, 16, of Benton, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He lived in the area all his life and was a student at Polk County High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Goode of Austin, TX; father, Eddie McTaggart of Benton; grandparents, Billy and Millie Goode and James and Judy McTaggart, all of Benton; uncles, David Goode of Cleveland and Victor McTaggart and wife, Leslie of Benton; cousin, Brandon McTaggart of Benton; and special friends, Brent Stone, Cody Carver, Billy Massengill, Devon Johnson and Kyle Enriques. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Gentry and Reverend Jimmy Parm officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
