Imogene Bates Cross, 65, of Benton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was a member of Archville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Lee Bates and Magdalene Lindner Bates; sister, Irene Bates; and her companion of 14 years, Jimmy Jennette. Survivors include her children, Pamela Worley, Horace McCager Ledwell, Jr. and Steven Mark Ledwell; siblings, Helen Louise Eddings, Johnny Bates, Jerry Weaver, Lorene Jones, Kenneth Bates, Gordon Bates, Deva Jones, Sherry Daniels and Patricia Rush; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Archville Cemetery with the Reverend Charles Moore officiating. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home.
