Irene Frase Shaw, 67, a resident of Cleveland and a former resident of Polk County, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at the family residence. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Shaw was the daughter of the late Fred Frase and Cordie Plemmons Frase and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Shaw and three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Lesa McCracken and husband Mitch McCracken of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jake and Josh McCracken all of Cleveland; two sisters, Rosine Kirpatrick and Geraldine Burchfield both of North Carolina; brother, Joe Frase of LaPlace, LA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Kenney Isbell and Reverend Tony Duggan officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Delano Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Mitch McCracken, Jim McCracken, Dennis Maddux, Jeff Trentham, Ron Hicks and Chad Cross will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the funeral home prior to the service.
