Jack C. Beard, 81, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on November 16, 2024.

He was born on January 14, 1943, in Maryville, TN to the late Byran and Marie Passmore Beard.

Jack was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Delano, TN. He was an avid fan and supporter of the Tennessee Vols. A few of his fondest memories include countless hours spent camping, fishing, hunting, watching sports and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Byran and Marie Passmore Beard, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Jewell Beard; brothers-in-law, Jimbo Crabtree and Frank Hammons; niece, Jeanie Crabtree Benton.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving daughter, Karen (Brandon) Dilbeck; grandsons, Keegan Freeman and Carson Dilbeck; sisters, Rita Hammons, Janice Crabtree; brother-in-law, Stanley Cronan; niece; Jennifer Ledford; nephew, Troy Hammons; great nieces, Zady Ledford and Elise Hammons; great nephews, Jackson Hammons and Terry Stone.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Benton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Mason officiating. Keegan Freeman, Spencer Stone, T.R. Stone, Shane Stiles, Hunter Knowles and Dustin Gunnoe will be serving as pallbearers.
