James (Boss Man) Carroll, Jr., 58, a resident of Benton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home. He was of Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Gordon Carroll, Sr. and Virginia Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Pee Wee) Carroll of Benton; eight children, Angela Carroll Hunt, Jamie Carroll, Kristie Ashworth, Deann Kenner, Frankie Irvin, Rena` Johnson, Leon Glenn and Lauren Glenn; twenty grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Naomi Bracewell and husband Phil and Renee Shepherd and husband, Larry. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Moats officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
