Jerry Briggs, 65, a resident of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009. He was originally from Niagara Falls, NY, but had been in the area for the last ten years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Briggs. He is survived by his children, Wenda Akers of Cleveland and Jerry Briggs, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren, Ashley Byrwa, Kevin Byrwa and wife, Tabatha, Kariffa Briggs and Tabitha Schuman; great-grandchild, Kaevin Byrwa; brother, Larry Briggs of New York; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gail Akers. There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton.
