Jerry L. Watkins, 50, of Ocoee, departed this life peacefully on July 15, 2024, at a local hospital.

He was born on August 14, 1973, in Sweetwater, TN, to Joann Hale Watkins and the late Robert Lee Watkins.

Jerry was previously employed at Coca-Cola, as a forklift operator. A few of his fondest memories were fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Robert L. Watkins, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Womac, and brother-in-law, Richard Bain.

Left to cherish the many memories include his wife of 28 years, Rebecca "Becky" Bain Watkins; son, Dustin (Katie) Watkins; siblings, Vicky Booker (Allen James), and Robert (Carly) Watkins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Faye Bain; sister-in-law, Katheleen (James) Ebright.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery with Dustin Watkins, Franklin Banther, Allen James, Andrew Spurling, James Ebright, Kevin Hamby and Derrick Noble serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
