Jessie Jones, Jr. 83, of Benton, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie Wallace Jones; his parents, Jessie and Winnie Chambers Jones; brothers, Theodore and Leonard Jones and two grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Diane Keeler and husband, Roy of Tennga, GA, Jeffrey Jones and Duncan Jones of Benton, Tim Jones and wife, Mary of Old Fort and Jessie Jones and wife Nancy of Benton; brothers, Bud Jones and wife, Irene of Cleveland and Troy Jones and wife, Deannie of Benton; sisters, Jearline Ellis and husband, Dee of Cleveland, Susie Wilcox of Delano and Stella Floyd and husband Donald of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Moore and the Reverend Chad Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
