John Dawson Bloom, 10, of Delano, passed away, Friday, February 22, 2013 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Bloom and sister, Cayla Bloom. He is survived by his father, David Bloom and brother, Kadin Pike, both of Delano; grandparents, John and Bonnie Pike of Athens and John Bloom and wife, Sandy of NC and Terri Simpson of GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Herron officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
