Joseph Browder, 74, of Old Fort, departed this life on December 14, 2024.

He was born on June 7, 1950, in Benton, TN to the late Charles W. and Retta Sue Sampson Browder.

Throughout life, Joseph worked and lived with a passion for fixing things and his family. He especially loved collecting antiques, and built a name within that community for being the "go-to" guy for odd and unique items. His specialty was Tennessee license plates, but if a deal was to be made, he could always be counted on to secure that thing you needed. A gifted storyteller, he was immensely proud of his children and loved to share the latest on their travels and accomplishments. His pets were a centerpiece in his life and the Golden Doodles who shared his home were loved without equal. He built just as many things with his heart as he did with his hands… his legacy will be the many lives he touched.

In addition to his parents, Charles W. and Retta Sue Sampson Browder, he is preceded in death by his son, Ryan Browder; brothers, Jimmy Sampson and Donny Sampson.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving daughter, Courtney (Heath) Tempel; grandchildren, Julya Browder, Jayda (Keith) Christensen; great grandchildren, Wesson Dison, Remington Dison, Colt Christensen and Truett Christensen; sister, Patricia (Bill) Zarrend.

Family and Friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home.
