Joshua Cross, 35, of Billings, Montana, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at a local hospital following a short illness.

A big, lovable giant, he left us far too soon! He had so much still to give. After high school and graduation from Cleveland State Community College, he spent his life working, exploring, learning and writing. Joshua loved graphic design and dreamed of designing video games one day. He also enjoyed sports, computer technology, history, movies, music and reading. Joshua had realized a dream the last few years of his life of working with animals. He was passionate about God and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parental grandparents, Bob and Joyce Cross; maternal grandparents, Buddy and Opal Jones; aunt, Sherri Spencer Jones.

Left to cherish the many memories include his parents, Bobby and Cheryl Cross; brothers, Christopher, Joseph and Matthew (Micayla Rowan) Cross; adored niece, Emma Joyce Cross; uncles and aunts, Michael and Sonya Cross, Greg and Natalie Cross, Bernard and Brittany Jones. Several beloved cousins and dear friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton with Pastor David Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with Christopher Cross, Joseph Cross, Matthew Cross, Joseph Burchfield, Tony McDonald and Nick Sipe serving as pallbearers. Joshua will be taken back to his birthplace, home of Benton, Tennessee where he will be laid to rest with family.

Family and friends will gather from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
