Julian Robert Hannah, Sr., 83, a resident of Grenada, MS passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in a hospital near the Grenada Living Center, where he resided.

He was born August 27, 1924 in Bradley County. He became a member of Boanerges Baptist Church and was baptized August 19, 1935 and later moved his membership to First Baptist Church of Grenada, MS in 1990. He was a veteran of Word War II and Korea where he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces for 19 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Lanion Hannah and Inez Ross Hannah; grandparents, Robert Samuel Hannah and Lucy Esther Shields Hannah; and brother, John Pickel.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Johnson of Hot Springs, SD; sons, Julian Robert Hannah, Jr. and Richard Hannah both of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Gene Hannah of Old Fort and Ronnie Pickel of Chickamauga, GA and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The Reverend Kinzel Hooker will be officiating.
