Junior "Kenneth" Sampson II, 73, of Cleveland, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

He was born on December 14, 1949, in Old Fort, Tennessee to the late Gladys (Powell) and Junior Kenneth Sampson, Sr. Kenneth was a member of Four Point Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. He was also a dedicated employee at Ratcliffs Lumber Yard in Benton, TN., enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all. He was a great caretaker to his mother, Gladys, who he is now reunited with.

In addition to his parents, Gladys and Junior Sampson, Sr., he was preceded in death by his beloved children, Ronnie Pope and Jolie Koonce; sister, Mary Sampson.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving wife, of 28 years, Mildred Sampson; daughter, Karen Pope; uncle, Robert (Gladys) Sampson. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.

Inurnment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens in Benton.
